Basic Training Operator Basics SuperFlow

This is a really nice bit of software ideal for introducing your first line SCOM Operators with an overview of how SCOM works. A very useful aid for when asked for Training Material

“The Operator Basics SuperFlow is intended for operators who are new to Operations Manager 2007. As the operator, you are the first to be notified when there is an alert, and the first to get the chance to react to an alert as needed.
In many organizations, Operations Manager operators are the first level of monitoring and support and are limited in the possible actions they can take. This level is sometimes called Tier I support or “front-end support” or “help desk.”
In other environments, the Operations Manager operator’s responsibilities may extend beyond the role of Tier I. Those operators provide the first level of monitoring but are also expected to perform more in-depth technical support and troubleshooting.
This SuperFlow is written for the operator in a Tier I role. The information is useful for a new operator who is in an extended role, but that operator will also need to research additional documentation to learn additional skills, such as tuning, targeting, and troubleshooting.”
